A community service oriented organization that gives veterans boating and outdoor accessibility in Minnesota to include fishing activities and tournaments.
Veterans Boat and Outdoor Network: “Veterans Hooked on Boats and Fishing”
Veterans Boat and Outdoor Network (VBON) is a network of veterans’ organizations, civil and community leaders, and veterans. VBON will be at the forefront of providing boating and fishing services for veterans and their families statewide. This organization has been founded with a vision of learning and healing through experience. My goal is to share my love for fishing and the outdoors with veterans who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it.
My passion for serving veterans is the result of my own service in Iraq, my work with Disabled American Veterans, and my current job with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Making a positive difference in the lives of veterans is in the heart of everything I do.
VBON will make boating and fishing accessible for veterans, particularly disabled veterans, in Minnesota. Our eventual goal is to have Networks of Veterans organizations, civil leaders, Veterans and Family’s, while serving Veterans with a service connected disability. VBON will be at the forefront of providing unmatched boating and fishing services for Veterans and their families. In these changing times, Anthony Haberles vision of learning through self-experience is a valuable and true success story, sharing his love for fishing and the water to veterans that otherwise might not have that opportunity. By experiencing the conflicts of Iraq and Afghanistan war is making a positive difference in the lives of veterans while working for Department of Veterans Affairs since 2008. Veterans Boat and Outdoor Network will help make boating and fishing for available to veterans around the state of Minnesota.
Our goal for this year is to purchase four 16 foot boats, which will be modified to be handicapped accessible. As well as 2-3 fish houses.
There are approximately 400,000 veterans living in Minnesota. Our organization and our potential partners have a tremendous opportunity to show dedication and compassion to our servicemen and women. We can make a difference in the lives of veterans and their families in our own community!
VBON welcomes opportunities to develop partnerships with corporations who share in our commitment to service. As a corporate partner/donor, your investment makes a tangible impact on our ability to purchase and modify boats, as well as to increase accessibility statewide.
We appreciate your company’s consideration. If you are interested in sponsoring VBON, please contact Anthony A. Haberle at firstname.lastname@example.org or (763) 244-4295.
